The Challenge

Falcon Realtor was managing 500+ properties across Bangalore using a combination of WhatsApp groups, Excel sheets, and email threads. Agents spent more time on coordination than on closing deals. Leads would come in through phone calls, but there was no system to track follow-up, log communication history, or match buyers to properties efficiently.

Their existing website was a static brochure — it showed some listings but had no search, no filters, and no way for buyers to express interest without calling a phone number. The director knew they were losing deals to more digitally capable competitors.

Our Approach

We proposed a full-stack platform with two distinct modules: a public-facing property discovery experience for buyers, and an internal agent portal for listing management and lead workflows.

  • Built a property listing database with rich filtering: location, price range, BHK, property type, amenities, and proximity to schools/offices
  • Integrated Google Maps for neighborhood context and interactive property location display
  • Created a lead capture system that routes inquiries directly to the assigned agent with property context pre-filled
  • Built an agent portal with bulk listing upload, image management, and a CRM-style lead tracker
  • Implemented WhatsApp sharing for listings so agents could instantly send property links to clients

The Build

The stack was React on the frontend with a Node.js/Express API and PostgreSQL. We used PostGIS for geographic queries — essential for "properties near X" search functionality. Images were stored on Cloudinary with automatic compression to keep page load fast even with 15–20 photos per listing.

The agent portal required careful role-based access design: agents could only view and edit their own listings, while admins had full oversight. We built a notification system that alerted agents when a new lead arrived for one of their properties — response time dropped from hours to under 15 minutes.

Mobile performance was a priority. Over 70% of property searches in India happen on mobile. Every listing page scored 90+ on Google PageSpeed Insights.

Results

Within six months of launch, Falcon Realtor had migrated all 500+ listings to the platform and trained their full agent team. The results compounded over time as agents built confidence with the system.

What Worked

The biggest impact came from the lead routing and notification system — not the public listing experience.
